Default What do you think of this setup?

Currently I have a Type-R with a Drag Gen III turbo kit.

After some thought, I have changed my plan for what I wanna do. What do you guys think of the following setup:

8lbs of Boost
Hondata Stage 2 with Boost Option
Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket
P28 OBD-1 Donor ECU
Hondata OBD-2 to OBD-1 Adapter Harness
InlinePro Headgakset
RC 440 Injectors

What do you guys think about that? What else do I need?

Thanks,
KJ

That's a nice setup.....I've also wanted to do that.
High compression, no prob., call inline pro for the head gasket.

I agree with the in tank fuel pump.
Also, I would add bigger injectors. I don't know much about hondata, but can't you lean out the injectors with it.
Also, you can always boost higher with that head gasket.

you would add bigger injectors than 440's? He's only running 8lbs...

I know that he is only running 8lbs, but would'nt he save money now just in case he decides to boost higher later on. Since he has hondata, he can lean them out for the meantime.

go ahead and spend an extra few bills on pistons... you will be happier in the long run, and with the head pulled off, your already about there anyway... if your staying at 8psi that is... rods for sure for more boost...

I think with hondata you still can make it work with the stock injectors and when you upgrade it get a datalogging system and change it.

How hard is the Hondata to tune by yourself?

How about a PMS?

Anyone with Stage 4 software can tune it, so it sounds like that is a requirement. When I get mine installed I am having the Hondata dealer, Payn Technologies, take it to the dyno and dial it in for me.

Hondata isn't magic, it won't make more fuel go through the stock injectors. Unless you want to run Hondata with an FMU and high pressure pump. In which case theres not much sense in buying a Hondata.

So when I slap a "stand alone" onto my car, the FMU has to come off and be replaced with a regular Fuel Pressure Regulator right?
