Default Hondata set-up's

I'm thinking of getting the Hondata system. I would like to know what other people are running w/ it and what thier set-up's are. How much boost are you all running. At 18psi can you run intank and 440cc injectors w/ the Hondata and be safe?

440's at 18 psi? Probably should have larger injectors.

18psi i would get 720cc injectors.
I also recommend larger fuel lines but that is optional.

What would be the max boost for 550's?

310s will probably only support up to 220-240whp
550s up to 325-350whp

To give you an idea, using 750cc injectors we are seeing about 50-60%
duty while making 350-375whp. Once we hit 80-90% duty then its time
to get bigger injectors. on 440s we see 100% duty while barely making
it to 300whp.

So you want to keep the duty cycle to about 50-60%? So what would 440's be good for at 50-60%?

Ideally duty maximum should be 80% though i'll let it go as high 85-90 before
I pull it back a bit.

What kind of fuel pressures are you working at? Could you get a little more out of them with a 1:1 or 2:1 rising rate? Or would that just defeat the whole purpose?

You need a 1:1 Fuel pressure regulator. I suggest SX.
I made 318 hp on 440s with max duty cycle at redline of 85%.
I thought about 550s...but no.

Hondata is a great choice.

We should send over all of our dyno sheets to Hondata so others can see how well the system can work.

Now, if only I can work out all the mechanical bugs?

Okay, I realize I'm a newbie on this board, but I'm trying to learn about all this fuel setup stuff. So....I'm getting a Rev Hard II kit and may as well get the 550's now, what else will I need in terms or fuel/ecu setup to run this sytem?

I've got a stage 3 with boost. I have it installed and will be putting in my FMAX turbo this weekend. I have RC 440s and have a B&M regulator. Doug at Hondata and Scott at Fmax tell me that will be all I need and probably wont need another regulator nor a fuel pump if I am running under 12 psi boost.

A 1:1 regulator is not necessary. an adjustable regulator is a plus as then
you can raise static pressure to get a little more out of injectors that would
otherwise be too small.

jamal: to answer your question i would need to know more about your setup,
things like your car, engine, expected boost level, etc.

Gruvytune let me know how your turbo kit run with the Hondata stage 3b with 440cc and the b&m. I was planin like this but with stage 2b though. Did Hondata recommend you to get the 440cc???? Will any higher still work with Hondata??? Thanks for the help.

I think Hondata will be able to map fuel curves for higher size as well. The 440 was recommended for our application and will support boost to at least 14 psi.

At some point an inline or a higher flow dedicated fuel pump will be needed but stock should be fine to 12 lbs of boost.
