i currently have
- DSM 450cc
- FPR set at lowest (45psi)
- VAFC set at -30% at part throttle and -20% at wide open.
- some turbo chip i bought on ebay. not sure what program it has but it was design for PR3 ecu to handle 8 psi.
- no check valve
- autometer boost guage reading at 5psi ( i thought the Tail gate comes with 7psi spring)
at first i had my wide open set at -10% and i was getting check engine light at 7000rpm on third gear. i was running rich so i set it down to -20% and now there's no chech engine light. i'm not sure if i'm supposed to use a check valve with this chip or not. when i put on the plastic check valve from Drag, the engine stalls at start up.
i'm afraid that if i put the fuel pump in, it's going to run too rich with this chip. it's running rich now at -20%. should i crank up the FPR and set vafc to -30% to run more boost with out setting of engine code.

I think those turbo chips are kinda crap. I asked one of the guys that sells them and he said you still need checkvalves...if you're intercooled, that might account for the 2psi pressure drop.
If you're running too rich for your tastes, then you obviously need to change something...if it's a commandflo style reg. it goes down to 25psi, I believe. you might be able to use the stock fpr with the vafc and 450's.
