Default What to do about clutch, wasted money $$ (kind of)

I bought the clutchmasters stage 4 kit a year ago and a half ago and wore the disc down from gently breaking in two different motors set ups, regular driving, no abuse, no drag racing.

I wasted my money on the clutch, I think, except for the fact that I can buy a new disc (stage 3) and mate it to the existing pressure plate. Pedal feel is still fine on the pp so after i visually inspect the old plate (assuming its fine) should I just buy a new bearing and put the new disc in or buy a whole new kit? Id be saving $300 that could go toward an LSD by buying just the disc.

Is that 315 whp daily? How much are you looking to spend?

Yes daily. Its almost fully built (minus head, IM, TB and 2.25 cat back). Im looking to spend $150-$200 for just a clutch disc and bearing. I want to try to avoid spending the $450 for the whole clutch kit again since I already have the pressure plate, only slightly over a year old and never been abused (no launching, no slicks etc).

Get a stage 3 disc and go to a oreilly's/pep boys/honda dealer and get an oem throwout bearing and slap it in. Don't forget to turn the flywheel (or better yet buy a new lightweight chromoly one. ACT streetlite goes for about $230). If you get yours turned make sure they don't do it on a brake lathe. It will **** it up.

I dont understand how you managed to burn through that heavy duty clutch while...

Also if you spent all that money to make 300+ whp, why would you drive it and not race/abuse it for over a year? Seems like you are exaggerating on how much you babied that clutch
