What degree of timing for Turbo ITR?

What degree of timing for Turbo ITR?
I normally run my car at 10 degrees timing to be a little safe. This is a stupid question, but a shop in New Orleans, which does turbo Hondas all the time told me they run 14 BTDC and sometimes they run stock timing. I myself find this a little far fetched for a daily driven car, so has anyone else heard of running really aggressive timing on a turbo Honda.

mine is set at 14 degrees at idle but i am using a gsr ecu so the timing curve is not quite so aggresive.

thats is really something for the dyno to tell you, we have basics, under 10PSI you almost need no retard, can run stock 16 or whatever, the idea here is to figure out all timing total timing, static compression and dynamic compression, maximum cylinder pressure - cant be answered so easy. your car may run rich or lean due to this also, do you get complete combustion at say 3PSI boost at 4000 rpm at 10 degrees- I doubt it. do you backfire alot????
