just wondering what types of coolant are you guys using in your boosted machines?

 

thanks to another honda-tech member (ee-chris) he mentioned something bout soft soap anyone know what hes talking bout? also, what does water wetter do for coolant?

 

I use the cheapest pre-mixed coolant

 

just get some regular prestone, do a 50/50 mix and add "Water Wetter" to it.

 

NEO coolant on my car.

 

Genuine Honda mix.................Im picky

I used oem Honda pre-mix coolant but have been using Shell Rotella ELC with good results. It is cheaper but still follows Honda's requirements that their cooling system was designed with. I would never run plain Eth-Glycol coolant in my engine.

redine water wetter or royal purple's ice are similar in that you can run just water and add these items in to lube the water pump and other items. WIth distilled water and the above items, it suits fine for track use as you don't want glycerol based fluids leaking on the track (road course..not drag)
