Icon2 What to build to hit 20 psi.

I have a GSR motor stock right now running low boost. What must I build in order to run at least 15-20 psi? Pistons, head, cams...etc???!

u cud either sleeve & get more then 20 psi

OR

BUILD THE HEAD (cams springs retainers etc)
PISTONS RODS
ARP STUDS
COMETIC GASKET
ACL BEARING
STOCK CRANK
STOCK SLEEVES OF COURSE
HAVE GOOD BOLT ONS LIKE
VICTOR X MANIFOLD 70mm tb
FUll race manifold
OR TOP MOUNT
as for the turbo i like having a good turbo you might not need this 1 in specific but for your goal I'd GO WITH a billet 6262 VERY GOOD RESPONSE & POWER FOR STREET & TRACK

FUEL
WALBORO, bosch , aeromotive a1000 pro
1000 or 1200 cc injectors

A GOOD STANDALONE SYSTEM when it comes to turbo cars I LOVE AEM but if your on a budget s300 works too lol

GET A GOOD CLUTCH TOO WHEN MAKING THIS POWER 6pucks are garbage! get a good clutch kit 4puck or IF YOU WANT SOMTHING THATS WORTH IT GET A EXEDY TWIN DISC OR tilton

ive personally had a stock sleeve turbo car on pump gas with a 6262billet made over 500hp I HAD ALOT MORE IN IT I WAS JUST liking the 500 Mark & left it there for a year car ran good on pump gas i always mixed 1 gallon of c16 everytime i filled my tank up though.

What turbo do you have? How much boost you are running? I hope you are not running some ebay kit. And just so you know, making psi goals is unrealistic. You need to set a budget and horsepower goal.

your post isnt much better.

20psi is just a relative number, and doesnt show anything about how much stress is on the motor. you dont build a motor to reach a certain amount of boost.

Exactly. You build it to reach a certain amount of horsepower, and more importantly, HOW you want that power dispersed throughout, especially if it's going to be daily driven.

Listen to these two and most importantly, SEARCH! Read the FAQ and you'll soon learn that boost pressure is an irrelevant measure...Set a power goal and build accordingly
