I just sent my block out to GE and I plan on running about 20lbs. The air filter I have now is a no big name brand. I read alot about air filters collapsing and I don't want that to happen to me. Does anyone know which air filters(cone prefferably) can handle that task of my boosting needs? I already searched and just got a thread about sone akimoto filters from 5/26/06. Are the aem dry flow filters a good choice? I need a 2.75 opening and about a 5 inch or so element to fit my setup. Any helpful suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I seen a neat looking conical filter by k-n with the top center open with another element in the center. Would that be a good filter for a fi setup? Do you know if it lets more air in since it has the extra element?

kn is the only company i know of offering a variety of custom filters and quality filters.. get the largest you can fit. they have many sizes to choose from
what about those of you that don't have room for a filter? does anyone sell a cap-like filter? i looked on k&n's web site and didn't see anything like that. i'd rather buy a pre-made one than ghetto rig my own up.

Seriously? Is this true for the Greddy foam filter that comes with their turbo kits? Seems like it would be darn near impossible for it to become dislodged.

i dont run a filter at all on my turbonetics, since it wont clear my stock fan. Is it bad to run no filter?? What size kn will fit??

worst idea ever
1-it cuts the surface area of the inlet down significantly
2- it sucks at filtering anything

K&N, just goto one of the performance stores that stock K&N and ask the guy what they have that will fit and test fit that **** till you got the perfect one.
When I got mine, I told the guy that I need a 3" inlet about 5-7" in length and boom he got it for it and it worked perfectly.
No Foam
Crappy stuff, would never recommend that ****.
