Weak points?
Ok. I've done a decent bit of research in planning for my buildup, but I still have a few minor questions.
When upgrading internals (forged pistons/rods/iron-ductile sleeves) what part of the engine becomes the "weak" point.
At some point something is going to break, but what would it be? And what can be done to reduce the likeliness of this happening?

Re: Weak points? (TrueNorthStar)
Block is my main concern right now (doing full build, but I'm only on the bottom end right now) but telling me all the weak points wouldnt be bad, because I will eventually need to know.

ring lands will go first in any turbo engine, built or not. So pistons should be first! Then Rods if you can afford it. Then sleeves if you can afford that. Then the head should be last if you can afford that

Re: Weak points? (Tinker219)
I know first hand that ringlands on the pistons go first. after some forged pistons I'm guessing the rods and or cylinder walls would be the next victims... although I hear stock walls can handle around 400whp... dont hear much about cranks... the stock crank seems to be a tuff bastard.
after pistons rods and sleeves, one of the next things to worry about is holding the head down, so head studs would be a concern. but at that this point I'm sure there are other things to worry about. things don't just break in this order either... there are too many variables that will cause things to break. like how good your cooling system is, how well your car is tuned, any boost spikes, etc...
thats my .02
