Wastegate setup
was just looking threw a honda magazine came across a turbo setup that caught my eye. I was looking at the waste gate setup i noticed on most turbo setups there's one pipe coming off by the collector on the exhuast manifold but on this one they had 2 pipes going into one wastegate. What would be the benafit of having a 2 into 1 wastegate setup? ps it was on a drag car motor.
any pics? most likely a divided manifold so they need to pull exhaust gas from each side to operate the wastegate properly. normally you would just see a dual gate setup. maybe they just didnt want to run two gates.
if it ws a non-dividend mani, maybe they think it will help control boost by giving more exhaust flow to the wg.
what size was the single gate, i assume something big like a tial 60 or something?
