Wastegate problems help!
Ok I know the sound of a open dump tube wastegate sounds. But for some reason mine sounds wierd. It sounds like a crazy fast valve tapping. My motor seems fine. No valve tapping there. Its just when I get on it, it makes that wierd sound. Bad springs you guys think? Bad Wastegate? Am using a Tial 38mm btw boosting only 6psi. Thanks for the help.

Re: Wastegate problems help! (Insperation)
make a video, and link us.
If its the niose i am thinkiing of, its normal, they tend to sound like that on lower boost levels.
But there is no way to tell until i hear it.

nothing is wrong with your wastegate, if you can hold a certain amount of boost that you have it set for then your wastegate is doing it's job correctly.
if it was openning and closing you would have boost spikes
if it was bad and no openning you would be overboosting
if it was staying open all the time you would probably only boost like 2-3 PSI in the upper rpm ranges.
all wastegates sound different on differ cars and motors at different PSI.
sound isn't the best way to diagnose a problem unless it's effecting your performance then I wouldn't worry about it
