Wastegate gasses are killing me !!!
I have a dumptube but the fumes and exhaust smoke are killing me. It is coming through a hole in my firewall too.
Are others having the same problem ??
How far down does the tube need to go before it gets sucked out under the car ?

i have mine pointing to the ground...basically where the frame ends. Thats enough for it to just go under the car. I say fix that hole in your firewall.

I'm going to but I haven't had time since I fished my wideband wires and boost gauge hoses thru that grommet behind my battery.

go to autozone and buy one of those flex hose exhaust repair kits, or whatever they are. I bought a 2" one and attached it to the end of the dumptube, and it runs even further down and dumps out sideways by the oil pan

You sure it isn't coming from your breather? I don't smell anything from my wastegate, just fumes from the breather hole.

Re: Wastegate gasses are killing me !!! (aznxphreak)
I checked my wastegate last night and I figured out that I forgot to put on the gasket between the manifold and the wastegate.
Doh !!
I also duct taped the grommet in my firewall which is right behind the battery and that should eliminate the gas fumes.

thats my quick solution too ALthough, Im not taking that route on my next project w/the gas tank up front, I want as much firewall there just incase something goes wrong.
