Wastegate dump question
Just had a thought.. for the 50%+ of us that do NOT use a wastegate dump tube,
isn't the exhaust dumping into the engine bay?
In my setup, the dump opening of the wastegate would pour the exhaust onto my
turbo manifold. Althought I doubt this would hurt it, isn't this potentially dangerous to other parts in the enginebay (plastic parts, plastic electrical connectors, silicone
vacuum tubes, etc)?

Re: Wastegate dump question (SiRkid)
Hmm.. I was thinking that it would do more than just make the enginebay
dirty. Isn't there REALLY HOT exhaust coming out from there?

Re: Wastegate dump question (CovertFI)
My dump tude (i have no tude connected to the wastegate, so i guess you can say open wastegate) is right over fan shroud, and hasn't melted it yet. Of course it hasn't been 104 degrees outside yet,and i don't boost everytime i get into my beast, so we'll see.
