Default wastegate

sup fellaz, this is my first post....anywayz, straight to the topic.....i want to get a drag 3 turbo kit for my gsr but i'm unfamiliar with "the dark side"...what else is involve in a turbo kit besides the kit itself??? i heard that the delta wastegate leaks, has anyone experience that??? will a tial wastegate be better or just a waste of money??? since i only wanna run stock boost for now, do i have to upgrade my ignitions system??? if so, what is involve??? oh yeah, is the stock boost for the Drag 3 kit 7.5 psi??? sorry for the long post...i cant think of any now, but i'm sure i'll be coming back for more.... any help from you turbo guys will be much appreciated....
thanx,
jim

i was previously a skeptic on the benefits of the tial as opposed to the deltagate before i felt the difference...the deltagate kinda bleeds the boost but the tial doesn't open until you get to the desired boost level. imo, definitely upgrade to the tial before you purchase the kit, that way you'll save yourself some money. also, an ignition is not necessary (although i'm sure it has it's benefits) but colder sparkplugs would be a good idea.

the deltagate is not a bad wastegate when you running minmial boost say 4-6psi but after you start messing wiht things and cranking it up to like 9-10psi it starts to fail. The better bet is the 35mm tial wastegate. What bleeding the boost means it will not hold the boost where it needs to be based on the spring inside the wastegate. It will bleed to much or not enough. The tial on the other hand works just right.

my car is fully race car so i really cant compare to any street setups. My old hb although had revhard stage II with tial upgrade. it boosted approx 12psi and ran 12.8. I like the revhard kits over the drag. Either one is good though for the price. Usually around 3195

Get the Tial dude. My friend cranked up his boosted LS to 15psi w/ a deltagate, he ended up spiking at 18 then 20psi!! His Total Seal rings fell apart, thats all. Get the Tial, it looks cool too.
