wast gate 2 small ?
Did you weld the flange with the valve seat directly to the manifold? You're supposed to weld the flange they give you to the manifold and then the thin flange with the valve seat machined into it sandwiches between the gate and the flange.

yes thier is a little metal ring that is tapperd between the flang & wastgate. its the only flange they sent. it seemed to go together correctly.
i had to over night the dump flang cause i didnt know it was seperate. i dont know why cause the 38 comes with both when 46 cost 2wice as much

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Neukin »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">That issue was taken care of about 3 months ago, wastegate holes are 44mm as compared to the 38mm as some people where saying they had problems with. We would make a 38mm hole for a 38mm gate and 44mm hole for 44mm gates but now all are 44mm. Our race manifold has a 54mm hole/elbow for high hp. Given that elbows are 42mmID and straight pipe is about 41mmID the 44mm hole is larger then the pipe that everyone uses. The loss of 2-3mm diameter does result in like 14% less of a hole for air to flow but other issues could be to blam too. So yes the 38mm hole in some of the collectors could cause a problem on some cars in some situations. </TD></TR></TABLE>
From what ive seen this does make a big difference...we drill all our manifolds with a 44mm hole saw...
I remember awhile back on one of my first setups...SSautocrome manifold lol, It would hit 14-15psi off the 7lb spring lol...I got it to stop creeping though
Don't laugh this picture is oooollllddd

cant win with this thing

cant race now... why.
And if you contacted us i would have taken care of that for you, the change of the flange and such. lifetime warrany
Here is what our wastegate to collector area looks like

the manifold i spoke about previously that had the crazy 24psi boost creep problem that i was welding a second wastegate onto.........
put it back on the dyno tonight with 7psi springs in each gate. held 7psi no problem now....now he's gotta put bigger springs in

well we finally got all our problems solved we wound up just below 400whp at 18psi on pump gas figured thats about how far we will take it till the next tune with race gas.
hooked up 2 step dont know how long the cluch will last we will see tomorrow. should of put stage 4 in
take it easy 2 steep at 4000rpm now
neukin it isnt your falt i shuold of had u put 46 on it from the start. besides it would of cost me to much time & $$ to send it back.
i can tell u this a kid came to the shop yesturday with a evo it had a greddy kit the mani looked nice & clean, BUT that bitch was so thin at 10psi it was turning into a cherry & the welds were maybe 1/8 inch wide i give it about 2 months maybe .
at 18psi mine doesnt change at all, glad i bought a neukin

haha, because a manifold turns red doesn't mean it's not good. Most real turbo manifolds are 16ga, and there's nothing wrong with 1/8" weld beads either if they're done right. More heat in a weld is not always better...
