Default walbro 416 lph intank

just a quick question
i am considering this pump for my build. (actually just bought from Xenocron) now i have read that the 400 and 416 need a bit of modification to fit.
i found a few threads on install
this one being the most helpful
https://honda-tech.com/forced-induct...1-2-a-3021430/

My only questions are how are most people routing the heaver duty power supply (running the power) oem relay? what guage is sufficient.
and i plan on running -8 AN feed and return to this pump. do i need to tap anything or should i just convert the OEM ports on top of the tank i.e. weld tap them to -8AN or install directly to pump? I have never done this before besides the old 255 pump. Thanks

heres my build

12ga running from the battery thats controlled by a relay from the stock relay box. I did it this way so its easy to return to stock. The stock oem pots on the pump bracket they are crimped on the ends enlarge them so its the same size of the inner diameter. I welded a -8 on to it. I cut the return off and drilled a put in a -6 90degree bulk head adapter. If you build a small simple cage out of sheet metal around the pump holder when the fuel returns it will flow down the metel into the basin. -6 should be more than enough for the return but if you feel more comfertable with the -8, its a little bit harder to run. In hindsight I may have just run -6 for both -8 is a pita to get on the end and then get tight enough. Save your self a headache and use stainless an fittings. Only other thing I did, stock should ok, but I got 12 gauge bulkhead fitting for the power line so there is a large wire running to the pump as well. The ground is thought the housing, so I grounded to one of the 10m studs. I had so many weird fueling problems with the stock stuff, i'm glad I did all this is solved all my problems.

thanks for the input everyone.
answered my questions.

Tyler, Fight club rules and so does you write up. I will be turning some metal on the mill and welding AN fittings i think, buying the kit from Xenocron.

Why did you bump this?
And why, if you felt the need to bump this, did you not include a question?
