Not this again, search, seriously. It's just gonna turn into a flame war.
EDIT: and B. I dont think Vortech makes a kit for the LS, the GSR kit is still fairly new. C. I wouldnt go supercharger in your shoes, the Jackson uses the m45 (smaller one) on the LS. I will never ever say this again but...Go Turbo y0!

Re: vortech vs. jrsc (romeo619romeo)
why not just do a small turbo kit set up and se the boost at your needs....
I'd go with a JRSC.

not only does the LS have a smaller blower, but also the motor itself has lower compression, which means you'd need a lot of boost to make any respectable power. as much as i'm sold on the JRSC for my purposes, i dont think it would suit you as well. i've never been a fan of the vortech just due to its outrageous cost and bad power curve. i'm usually not one to say this, but on the LS motor i think the only way to make power is to turbo. i know thats not an option on your list, but i'm giving you some advice.

Dude what are you talking about? I never once said that.
He should go turbo regardless, unless u want him to run 12psi non intercooled on a 55% efficient compressor

JRSC. the vortech is like a turbo on a stick. for that amount of money i would just get a REAL turbo and not some belt driven turbo. HTH

Re: vortech vs. jrsc (MouhadIb)
Between the two, the JRSC kit is better. However, with the characteristics of the LS motor (no vtec, 6500rpm redline, low compression etc.) your best option for making big power is turbo. If your set on supercharging, go LS/vtec now, SC later.
