Default Vortech supercharger questions

i have a 00 si with the v-5g trim standard system on it. right now im making 231hp to the wheels tuned with a hondata s300 EMS.

right now im facing a rebuild on the supercharger.

my question is would it be safe to get a 10psi pulley on completely stock internals? ive read that theres about a 40 hp difference from the stock to the 10psi one.

More boost is never as safe as less boost.

That said, lots of people run 10 PSI on stock motors safely.

Lots of people also snap the ring lands on stock pistons when their tune is inadequate or something goes wrong.

Personally I'd keep it at 8 PSI, but I like to be very conservative with my DD.

because if the engine blows i dont have 3k for the new engine and swap.

recently blew one engine due to a faulty oil line.
