Vortech BOV
Does anybody know if a new vortech bov needs to be adjusted? I'm sure it does, but I just want to confirm it.
Also, other people claim that the bov should be open at idle and other people disagree. What's the final answer on this one? Could it be that people who run their bov off the brake booster line are having the problem of it being open at idle? (when the brakes are applied?)
Thanks

Should be plug and play out of the box. If you are running allot of boost then you may need to tighten down the spring but you wont know until you install it. If it leaks boost then you know what to do
The BOV should be at least slightly open during closed throttle...BOTTOM LINE
I run my BOV off my brake booster, no problem here!

Re: Vortech BOV (si2die4)
The vortec has an extremely stiff spring because it was designed for high boost applications. You will probably need to remove all preload (unscrew top adjuster) in order to get it to blow off clean.
