Lately ive noticed a lot of people recommending these pistons, ive never heard of them so I tried to find their website abd came up empty. Anyone have a link? I also noticed its nothing but d-series pistons, do they make a b-series piston?
Sorry for the stupid question.

Re: vitara pistons
I always wondered the same thing, I just assumed they are from a Suzuki vitara. Anyone know the history of them being used in Hondas though?

Re: vitara pistons
They are meant to be used with the SOHC d-series engine, I believed the record with the vitara pistons on a sohc civic engine is 600+ hp.
Be aware of other type of piston claiming to be "THE ONES" being used as the vitara piston, the name of the company is YCP out of Taiwan. What makes them so special for a SOHC turbo application?
- YCP pistons are made from a much more strong cast (AC8a Grade)
- 19mm Floating Wrist pins. Will fit aftermarket D16 forged rods.
- T-6 Heat treated for even greater strength.
- Highly resistant to heat.
- Dual oil holes to provide better Wrist Pin Lubrication.
- Teflon coating to provide smoother running, increase piston life, improve cylinder sealing for less blow by and more power, reduce friction.
- Help prevent damage from inadequate lubrication, Especially during cold start-ups.

Re: vitara pistons
My friend bought a vitara/fjt rod kit off eBay for 500 bucks that came with Acl race bearings and NPR rings
And he made 426whp on 26psi on e85
D16y7 block with a y8 head

Hehe, for the B series you can't go wrong with either NPR or RS machines if you're after a set of cast pistons. You'd get a hell of a lot of piston slap trying to run a set of vitaras in a b series lol.

Re: vitara pistons
I've heard guys reffer to pistons made by ycp and nippon as b-series vitaras. They must just be using it as a generic term since both companies make vitara pistons

That threads tittle is "putting the bseries vitaras to the test" and it was made in 09
