I'm plannin makin this setup and I was wondering if those pistons came in any other toyota cars. I'm having a hard time finding them. If anyone knows I would greatly appreciate it.

I think the thing is that the Supras came with turbos so the pistons are quite a bit more sturdy than a stock D series part. Nathan is running some crazy amount of boost on the D block with those pistons, so I wouldn't knock it!

 

Yea its the 1st gen. supra pistons that fit in sohc blocks, but how much do these pistons weigh compared to stock d16 pistons. I suspect that they are notacably heavier, if so this could hurt performance from that aspect, and leave you with a sluggish feeling engine, but still much stronger. I've talked to people with built sohc turbo's, w/light weight forged pistons, they say theirs revs up and boosts quicker (wilth less gas pedal effort)...these pistons may cause the opposite effect. But ask Nathan, IM him he can hook ya up I believe, ask him how much they weigh too if he knows, compared to stock d16 pistons, and let us know too.

Hey Etylorcen why dont you think before you say things. I'm not putting supra pistons in my motor because I think its cool. The next time your going to try to make someone look stupid actually know what your talking about. Thanks for the help though sohckid.
