Vented Valve cover Question
First off my buddy had a shop do this, A semi well known shop and i may mentiton the name later but as of right now i am thinking this is very pointless, maybe you all can help me figure out the point of this.
Sorry about the crappy art work here just was in a hurry to get this up here.......

Now what you cant see is the bottom of the block is tapped as well which there are to lines comming out of the bottom of the catch can back into the block, i can see the point of feeding back in to the block the oil from the catch can. But is this not more displacement in a sense? or putting pressure back on the block?
Also the factory vent has a hose rand down almost to the ground and just lets a little oil drip out of it, i dont see why the hell he would do that as well i mean thats just dripping Oil on the track or whatever when under some boost i am sure.
This guy payed this shop very well for them to " vent his valve cover"
when in truth it is still factory ventted and this is just for looks IMO, So please put in some input and help me or the shop see the light, No matter what we say to them over the phone they say it is done right and thats the end of the story!

I see what Your saying. I'm no expert on the subject, but it should be vented. All the ones I've ever seen have had a little breather filter on the hole where it vents. Wouldn't make much sense to pipe whatever pressure is there right back into the motor.
Yea, thats sealed setup is not what you want for the AN lines/ catchcan setup (btw those look like -10 not -12), as you suspect your not doing anything to actually vent any crankcase pressure for that whole setup with it sealed which is the whole purpose of doing it.
Then you have the factory vent fitting in the valve cover which is the only actual line venting crankcase pressure, which is not going to do enough. With no catchcan on that line as well like you said it will just drip oil all over making a mess of oil coating the underside of the car, get you kicked off the track, etc.
Change the catchcan fed by the AN lines to a vented can (get one with internal baffling) and cap the factory line off if you want to do it properly IMO.

This Can was supposed to be vented they ordered it , it was to big the cut half the top off and slaped a plate on to cap it ,it supposed to have a baffle gonna tear it down and see
setup looks good, just needs a filter to actually vent the crank pressure. and the factory vent should be capped so you arent shooting oil out of it
