If its a new turbo you might be missing the flange on the turbo itself you have to get it welded on.-pdang

does it look like this on the turbine end?

this a precision turbo at motor matrix jsut had to use the photo real quick mike.

You can kind of get a picture from this kit. This is designed to adapt a vband flange to a t3 exhaust housing( available through http://www.cheapturbo.com ). What were looking at though is the flange on the adapter thats the part that usually gets welded on a t4 turbine housing for the vband. The other flange is obviously for the downpipe. Hope this helps you out man.-pdang

I believe T4 turbines only come with a v-band outlet. Plus, it's easier to attach your downpipe, and just plain cool.

there are some that use either a v-band or can use a 4 bolt flange also(a big round one)

you shouldn't have to weld it on, but I cant tell from your pic..

weldeing it on is acceptable thouhg... the greddy turbo (at least the t78 and t88) have the vband adapters welded on...

how are you going to weld steel to cast iron so it will be strong/not break off?
