Default help with second b16a turbo

After a spiking boost problem, over 20 psi, and oil return line breaking, my B16a is shot. A rebuild with high end internals would be sweet, but unaffordable, so I'm getting another bottom end from a ls/vtec swapper. My questions are:
1. What thickness of headgasket should I use to drop the comp. to approx 9.5:1 ?

2. I have a Nuformz blockguard, drop in or weld in ?

3. Getting proper fuel, what kind of psi should this handle ?

This set up is in my 90 Teg.
K26 turbo on revhard manifold
delta wastegate 7 psi
vortec 12:1 fmu
stock injectors
upgrade pump
2" charge pipes
greddy type s
check valves foolin map
B&M fpr
probe intercooler
full 3" exhuast from downpipe back, no cat
stock ls trans

all tuning has to be made with egt, and af gauges. and obviously checking the plugs

thanks for the help guys

1) I don't believe u can find a headgasket to drop ur compression THAT much. U need pistons

2) Weld In

3) If its tuned well by a professional, i would say 10 safely.

good luck bud!,

I would be doing the welding on the block
I still say get the SMC+....actually MikeMAN is using that now, and he is loving it right Mike?
Ditch the FMU and Check valves for SURE....

1. Checkout www.c-speedracing.com, they have a compression calculator that will tell you what size headgasket you will need. Then go to www.cometic.com and contact them about a custom gasket in the desired thickness.

2. I say no block guard but if you must go with the drop in. Just make sure it is machined to fit. The reason I would go with the drop-in is that I would be worried that welding might warp the bock.

3. As far as fuel and management goes, just tune the hell out of it and don't get to greedy with the boost levels and you should be O.K.

BTW what IC are you using? And are you keeping AC? If not I would like to see some pictures of your IC pipe routing.

I would get larger injectors for your setup. Also, where did you get the K26? Do you have any pictures of it? I was going to use a K26 a while back.

k26 was bought off here by tinker219, I picked it up from him, boost @3000rpm, full by 3500rpm. Has held over 15psi strongly, as you can read. Getting my hands on some 320 injectors, this should help eh.
I don't have a digi cam, but as soon as i can I will get some pics up.

Did KKK make it? I was going to get a KKK modified by Blitz but decided to go with a Garrett GT3040 (should have it in a month).

yeah it is a KKK. Very smooth power delivery, now working on a total revamp of driveline. Clutch, flywheel, trans, axles, oh yeah and motor.
