Vacuum leak, white smoke, low idle...
When I go to start my car, it takes forever to start, but when it does, it sometimes idles at 15 vacuum, when it would normally idle at 20 vacuum. Not only is the vacuum weird, but it idles super low. Borderline shutting off, but never does. Also, when I'm in stop and go traffic, I get white smoke. I'm sure I get white smoke when I'm driving normal, I just can't see it. The oil is burning slowly. I only have to add oil every few weeks.
I've been told it could be one of two things, but please, don't hesitate to add if you think it's something else. My compression was even and strong across the board when I did a compression test a few weeks back.
Bad valve stem seals, bad turbo/oil lines to turbo.
I only get white smoke after driving it for a few minutes after the oil and car temperature gets to where it needs to be.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be my problem?

sometimes if your compression is still showing it is good, it still can be bad bc oil will pass through the rings but the combustion chamber can still seal due to the oil in it.

Thanks for the info.
I'll look further into that. The compression has always been strong since I built the block.

Smell the white smoke, is it oil? or not, if its not your probably leaning out the motor, so you need to use higher octane or dump more fuel.
