Default vacumn source questions

Im trying to install a Blitz boost controller and it says to connect a vacumn source from before the throttle body. Is there really a difference between before and after the throttle body? Since I dont have hole drilled into my IC piping, what vacumn source do i use for the boost controller? TIA

That doesnt sound right. It should be from behind the throttle plate on the intake manifold side.

My SSBC instructions said to source a boost signal from in front of the T/B too. I drilled a small hole in my charge piping and epoxy'd a small nipple in. Works fine. That's the boost signal to the solenoid. The boost signal to the control unit can be sourced from the manifold.

The thermo wrapped vac line next to my AIT sensor goes to my solenoid:

depends on if it is asking for a boost only source, or a boost/vacuum source. if it is asking for a source before the throttle body, then odds are it is wanting a boost only. i take mine from the turbo compressor housing for my evcIV.

any vacumm source will work, but don't connect more then 3 lines to one vacumm source...cruise controlis a common one to use as well, keep the lines short.
