Re: VA turbo people, need in person help!!!! (blackteg)
Would either of you guys (or both) be available at the begining of next week during the daytime by any chance?
The best way to describe it is a popping sound at higher boost levels.

Also one other thing, about your problem... check your spark plugs and their gap. Sounds like a common "miss" under higher boost. .30 to .35 is usually good with a degree colder plugs..

Thats what I thought it was at first also. Put in a fresh set two ranges colder and it seemed a little better for a while. Most likely I was imagining it.

Two heat ranges colder sounds a little much, how much boost are you running? You're running a heat range 8 plug then? Does it miss at all at lower rpms/partial throttle? A few more details on the setup would be helpful.. Maybe you're running a little too rich? Plugs gapped too tight?

What would be the best way to get a hold of you sgT and set something up?
turbod16y8, yea that kinda sounds like what it is doing.
SlowTeg, if I remember correctly I am running a plug in the 7 heat range. Stock for my motor is the 5 heat range. I can run 7 psi with no problems. It starts to happen when I run 8 psi or more. I am running the stock gap on the plugs. Here is my setup:
B18A motor
YS1 GSR tranny
Quaife LSD
Stock clutch w/5,000 miles
450 cc DSM injectors
Zdyne Gold SECU
3 BAR map sensor
MSD 6a Ignition
MSD Blaster 3 coil
MSD wires
MSD cap
NGK BCPR7E spark plugs
TIAL 35mm Wastegate
Greddy BOV
T3/T04E
Drag gen II mainifold
3" carsound cat (hollowed out not by choice)
3" Thermal Exhaust
I think thats everything that could possibly related to my cars issues. As for how much boost, I am trying to run any where from 12-15 psi consistently.
