Default using JUN ecu with boost temporarily do i need to worry?

well im getting my gsr p72 ecu chipped tommorrow for hondata s200/b but i wont be gettig tuned for anoter 2 weeks. so i am going to use my backup ecu. its a p28 with the JUN program onit. (was using with my old type r motor) i have heard that these programs advance the timing significantly and since im boosted i am kinda worried. what do i need to do or worry about?

Hmmmm...I would definatly not boost with it.

as long as you take it easy it should be fine I think.

yea i dont plan on boosting with it but what im worried abot is the timing even under normal driving conditions. since im running te hack right now the timing gets advanced already unlesss your at WOT like 5th gear pulls u know add on top of that the advancing of the timing of the JUN program i am kinda worried that even under normal NON boosting conditions that i could see a detonation problem. well well see i hope 2 weeks of not boosting will be worth wating getting it tuned with hondata. plus i just bought that edlebrock intake manifold for the b18c1 im going to put it on next week right before tuning. i hope i see a big increase over the stock gsr intake manifold.

Get someone to do you up a custom boost chip, and run that until you get tuned.

JUN has wicked ignition maps that are 100% bass ackwards for what you want for a turbo tune, if you absolutly have to, I guess you could retard the hell out of the dizzy. I would not drive the car if it were me.

Your timing never advances further than your part throttle full advance... simply do not boost, as you know you shouldn't, and your timing isn't going to be advanced any more than it should be. It will be a little advanced at near atmospheric pressure conditions in the intake manifold, but as long as you're not boosting it won't matter, will it?
