Default Uses of VAFC?

I will be using the smc and dsm 450s as my fuel setup when im finally boosting. I was curious if the vafc is useful to have for any of its other functions. I have a friend who is selling his, thats why i am asking.

It's useful in that it'll let your idle and run the 450s without a standalone. You can even tune it t a degree, but if you're going to run over 10-12lbs of boost, get a standalone. Oh yeah, the V-AFC has VTEC engagement controls that you can play with, and it works as a display unit for a lot of things too. I usually have mine displaying revs, throttle, VTEC engagement, and pressure(secondary boost gauge with p/h functions ).

It has a feature that lets you monitor things over RPM. With the blue wire mod you may be able to tune it. You would set it to log O2 voltage over RPM and adjust your settings until you get it right. While it may not be as accurate as a wideband, it is cheaper and can help cut down your time needed on the dyno.

I don't have my VAFC installed yet, so this is not tested, but according to the manual it should work.

The V-AFC isn't able to read O2 voltage via the "blue wire mod" like the S-AFC can, unless they came out with a newer version of it or something. I know my V-AFC doesn't have an extra sensor output, and that the blue wire is utilized for VTM or something like that.
