Uberdata VTEC Map with Skunk2 stage1 cams
Im street tunning my turbocharged SI and noticed something about my map. My high fuel map uses less fuel than the low fuel map. So, basically what Im trying to say is that while Im in VTEC, Im using less fuel to get me closer to 12 AFRs. I was thinking it might be the cams causing this situation. I would think that the more air coming in during VTEC, I would need more fuel. I need a dyno bad! Cams also seem to have a flat spot around 5500-6500rpms just after VTEC engagement, but after that car pulls like a beast past 9000rpm. Im thinking I might have to engage VTEC at 7000rpms.
I was just wondering if anyone else has the same problem with the fuel maps on any type of cam. I cant remember the stock B16 cam maps being the that way. Thanks for any help!
Setup:
B16A2 9:1 compression stock bore
Skunk2 Stage1 cams
Adjustable cam gears
Uberdata 1.70
3bar Map sensor
RC 650cc injectors

your fuel needs will be different form usual because of your low compression. jsut use your wideband to get as close as possible to your targeted AF ratio.
your vtec is probably set too high. try setting it near 5000-5500. anything higher is prolly too high. thats one reason for the flat spot. the low cam is running out of power

Damn dude, thatnks for replying!! I used to have VTEC set at 5700 but the car would slightly buck at part throttle and now it's set at 6000. I dont feel a loss of power from the low cams at all just in the begining of the high cam. but after 6500rpms is when I start to feel the car pull again. that's why I wanted to up the VTEC engagement to 7000. Im in the process of finding a Dyno to put it on. I just want to state that these cams seem to keep pulling past 9000rpms. Just sick!
