It's USB so no big ol' serial cable and no external power source, plus there's no need to short pins to burn 29c's. I had a Willem's, crapped out on me, jumped on this new burner for $85 shipped and it's definatley a more convienient unit IMO.

i will second this suggestion
if you're unsure or not familiar with the moates burner, check out the 3 or 4 page thread in general discussion on the uberdata board.

haha ur right.
I wrote that wrong. I meant they all do the same thing in the end pretty much. (let you controll fuel and timing) But one does it a little better than the other I see.
I've got that that same damn problem with the hack right now actually. The vac cutoff, when I try to hold a consistent RPM..after like 3 seconds, the RPM's drop a ton. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Same problem for me..Except I run Hondata..So I guess it's not an Uberdata error

if it can burn a 29c256 flash PROM or similar it's fine. You don't have to use the Hondata ROMeditor to burn the chip.
Even though I have the Pocket Programmer that came with hondata, I prefer to use the separate software that came with the burner to make the chips..I like it better..

There is a check box for VTEC coolant check, and PA sensor, im not sure what the PA sensor is... Maybe its what you want...
BadCRX, like the other guys said, you will be fine with any burner.
