Default Uberdata Injector Scaleing problem...

Well, im finally posting my problem. i solder'd up a pr4 obd1 ecu to use on my buddies 98 integra ls converted to obd1 using a boomslang harness. Now, from what i assume, the obd2-1 conversion is just plug and play. With a stock ls obd1 ecu the car idles with 440cc injectors. But will sputter when revved, too rich of course. If i just try to burn a map with 440cc injectors instead of 240cc, no boost tables yet, it will not idle unless i gas it,then it misfires when trying to rev it. It wont idles whatsoever without giving it throttle. I took my chipped p28 out fo my crx that i know works and it did the same thing.

Sooo, i know its not the ecu. Ive swapped the injectors with ones i know are 450, and it did the same thing. I know its not the injectors. If i burn a stock map, it will idle. But as soon as i try to adjust uberdata for teh 440's, it will not run worth crap.

The car was previously running an safc2 on obd2. it ran fine, but it ran like an safc, crappy idle, not much partial throttle tuneing. lol. Im using 1.66, tried 1.7, didnt make a difference. Any ideas, post up, im stumped.

1.66 and 1.7 LS basemaps are corrupt. Hit me up and I can send you something to try.

Also did you ever try the uberdata forum.. http://www.ecimulti.org/uberdata

You need to add fuel at idle after you rescale. Larger injectors have bigger pintles/discs so they take longer to open. I.e. the injectors have more dead time... so at low pulsewidth (idle, very light load, etc) the car will lean out if you just scale the entire map.

Try adding 20% fuel to the 3leftmost columns in uberdata and see what happens.

Oh yeah, don't use the LS map. Start with StockGSR.bin and copy and paste the LS fuel and ignition maps (don't forget the map scalars!).

If anything I have always had to take fuel out of 450 base idle. It is only when you get into huge injectors that are peak and hold that you have to worry about dead time ( to an extent)

I have had this "problem" with 440cc, 550cc, 650cc injectors. It all depends on the specific injector. DSM injectors seem to not have the problem as much, but I have encountered it on all sorts of RC injectors.

what are your a/f ratios? you can't just be blind guessing and expect it to run right.

yeah, i was gonna say, my dsm 450's never had any problems, thats why i was so stumped when this happened. We had it on teh wideband when it was on the dyno, but not since we swapped uberdata. Setting mine up was so easy, so i thought partial throttle tuning wouldnt have been such a big deal and we could at least ge able to drive it. Hmmm, i guess ill look into the whole ls map being corrupt. Sheesh....

I had to add 25% to the idle colums for my RC 550's...now it sits at 15.1...started with 19-29afr.
