thinkingabout buying aturbo type r from a dealership its got the drag gen 3 57trim kit. no idea if its tuned or anything but. how much estimated untuned hp should that be pushing out? claiming that they are good fora max of 525hp on a built motor? thanks

 

I don't think a 57 trim can flow enough to make 525 whp.

Untuned it will probably push around 240whp, just a guess, mine made about 240 on a 60 trim untuned.

 

525 is what they claim in thier site on a tuned built motor

 

Make sure the bottom end is built and also make sure the compression is up to par......

 

yeahimgonna look at all that before i buy. i may just get rid of my car now and wait until i can get a EVOLUTION.

 

its probably built to hell, They might have bored it out too....

 

maybe, they dont say anything like that in the ad. Im going to have to see if they know who the previous owner was. I know certain people like to do stuff half *** and run a stock high comp. engine with turbo kit and think everything is going to be OK.
