Default turbo a type r??

yo my boy has a ls vtec with p73 type r pistons and a gsr head and he wants to turbo his motor.nowi know it's posible but i don't think it's a good idea since it's high comprestion.know i have seen stock type r turbo so if you could let me know whats the deal and what you think.thanks

do it y0! tuning is critical. high compression + turbo = fun

by the way you might have better results in the FI forum.

As RTW DC2R said, its all in the tuning.

With high compression there is less room for error when tuning. If the motor was built right and tuned well, you shouldn't have any problems.

doesnt matter how much PSI, its how much power its making. as stated, 300whp is a good round number for a stock block ITR. I wouldnt push it much farther than that. 300whp is going to take its toll on the stock piston ringlands as well so dont expect it to last that long. tune is very critical.

very true rtw dc2r psi doesnt matter, matters what kind of set up your running and all about a good tuner
