Default type r head vs/ ls head

im thinking of going ls/vtec on a b18b w 9:1 cp pistons and eagle rods and acl bearing and a stock ls head. i also have a type r head w/ skunk2 pro1s camshafts will it help me if i install the head or will it be a waste of money to go ls/vtec?

there's no comparison...a stock ITR head with better cams will flow a ton better than a stock LS head.

Go LS/VTEC and never look back...you'll enjoy it

You will make WAY more power at the same boost level with the R head! At 15 psi it will probably be at least 75HP difference up top.

no r cams are way different than ls you either need stock type r cams or some after market cams made for the type r

Yes the gears should be the same, the cams are not (obviously).
