Default Two quick questions - FPR and PCS

In my Jackson Racing instructions, it says to route the FPR vacuum line to the intake manifold. That seems weird to me. It needs vacuum to open, right? Feeding it to the IM will give it boost... Also, I'm not using an FMU. I'm almost positive that the FPR should be routed to a vacuum source, but I want someone knowledgeable to vouch for this.

Also, the PCS is a simple valve right? Will it matter which nipple is attached to the charcoal canister and which is connected to the vacuum source?

Thanks in advance guys. Install is almost complete - All I need to do now is replace my front right brake line that I tore through with an angle grinder

All vacuum sources on the motor are from the intake mani. Its sucking air into the engine which creates a vacuum in the mani. the stock fpr should have had its vacuum source from the im. The PCV valve has one end that is flared which the hose goes on and the other side is a little wider and fits in the canister.

yes it will have boost at that port, but only when your foot is into it. up untill the blower starts making boost, it will still have manifold vacuum. but there is no other way to get manifold vacuum before the throttle plate. thats called venturi vacuum. and it is a completely different monster. put it to where the stock fpr gets its vacuum signal from you will be ok.

To clarify, I meant the Purge Cut Solenoid valve that is mounted to the fuel rail, not the PCV valve.

Also, what about routing the FPR to one of the nipples on the s-pipe adaptor? Those nipples are before the blower, so they only see vacuum right? If I go ahead and hook up the FPR to the intake mani, how will the regulator work when I am on the throttle?

if you put it after the blower, the reg will still work, it will think it is at wide open throttle all the time thats all. it will run a little fatter than normal.

So wouldn't it be better to just attach the reg to the s-pipe?
