Default fuel managment

yo i have put togethor a junkyard turbo. it consist of a dsm fmic td05 turbo, dsm bov. the turbo has a wastegate set at 7psi. all of the charge pipe and oil feed line a boost gauge. the guy was talking bout me buying a ecu off of him but it is a ls ecu.

so it wont work with my d16z6. the closest hondata tuner to me is probably a 4hour drive and im sure the closest uberdata tuner would be even further.

im at a lost of what i should do. just getting bigger injectors and a vafc wont help will it? i have to have some one tune that to wont i???? and i need this fuel management to be reliable because this is my daily driver. thanks for any help

I would just read up on uberdata and run that, it would be your best choice.

You can run dsm 450cc injectors and an afc.. Or you could find a greddy blue box..

You already have a P28, so all you need is to have it socketed and buy yourself a cheap rom burner from moates.net, shouldn't be more than $150 for all that. Otherwise, an AFC and moderate boost would be your last resort.

Stay N/A for the time being. It doesn't seem like you are wiling to put in the little amount of effort it takes to go FI. Since this will be your daily driver I would hate to see you out of a ride, which is what will happen unitl you are willing to put the time into doing things correctly. Research, research, research.

Read this: Hack setup info and this, UBERDATA (Go to the forum section)

yeah like said above. I've been researching for about 6 months now and I'm finally getting my setup now which is the turbo you have but with aftermarket BOV injectors and vortec 12.1 FMU, APEXI AFC. It just takes time to understand everything. I didn't want to just jump into it and by just asking ?'s like this will get you hatefull responses. Trust me I know. If you can think of anything your ?'able about go to search and type in every key word you can think of for that topic. Make sure you choose where you want to find it from cause most likely u'll pull up alot of for sale ****. I did this forever and read everything. I've done alot of research on everything turbo related and I still search everyday lol. Good luck

From what I got from searching a while back with your setup and in your situation just get a Apexi V-AFC or AFC if not v-tec and some dsm 440 or 450cc injectors forgot the size but it's one of them and a FMU of some sort like vortec 12.1. If you search you'll find how to setup the Apexi AFC.

don't need an FMU when you run an AFC hack and bigger injectors.

Big Disc FMU = Bad (High fuel rail pressure)

no problem, you should really be running uberdata, that will save you more money. But I ran an FMU with SAFC and injectors for like 2 weeks. Hated it.

I don't have the $ for the hondata/ uberdata and
then the options to get also, along with the dyno time/tune. I'll find out for sure when the time comes to install. I'll call adrenaline MOtorsports where I got other parts before and see what they shoot me at.

dude, uberdata will cost exactly what a stupid AFC will. No lie. you can find people to chip your ecu for $50 and then buy the burner for $90. Right there, a full unit, and fully tunable. There is no reason not to.

Thanks for the input 96-Ej6 b18c helped me out a little on another forum. I wen tto uberdat and read up on th e?'s people ask with there answer and liked what I saw. Is it pretty easy to use though? So I can adjust my timing and boost everything with uberdata? I want to go stand-alone compared to a hack, I like the idea of being able to control everything. I have a friend that is a electronics genius when it comes to wiring and **** he works at a car stereo shop in town so I'll ask him about chipping the computer for me. I went to Moates.com but couldn't find the burner. What is the exact name of it they just showed boards and **** that I seen but I don't even know what it looks like. Not trying to be a dumbass just trying to understand everything. thanks guys I'll prob go this route as soon as I understand everything. On uberdata it said "stock b18b" what is that for since I'm going turbo? am i looking in the wrong part? Do I DL everything from uberdata to a disc? I seen different files available.

go to moates.net. the burner is called burn1. Pic up the uberchip kit and download uberdata. Don't use the stock LS map, use a GSR map to start with then import the LS map and disable some stuff. Post uberdata questions on the uberdata forum. You have the site, they can fill you in on everything.

You are welcome. Any other uberdata questions should be asked on the uberdata forum. You will learn your share there, I promise.
