Two-Part Question (Tranny/Manifold)
Well after debating for awhile I think I may turn to the darkside rather than get an R and stay all-motor.
Just have two quick questions:
1) My ls motor is currently mated to a b16 tranny and I want to swap it with a longer geared tranny when I go turbo. I really dont want an ls tranny, so will a gsr suit my needs?
2) I am looking into just getting a kit b/c I am somewhat rushed for time and want everything to work right the first time. So I am leaning towards a drag gen III and am thinking of upgrading the manifold. Just wondering if by doing this, will I have to modify the piping to make it work?
Sorry for these basic questions, just a newb to this territory.

Re: Two-Part Question (1-UP)
I'd suggest keeping your b16 tranny, and if anything, possibly trade for a GSR. You'll always get the LS vs. GSR/B16 tranny arguement for boosted applications.... longer gears are better, shorter gears spool up quicker ect. ect. BUT, if you are looking to trade your b16, ive got an LS tranny with your name on it
As far as a kit, the Peakboost are nice kits for a fairly good price. Comes with basically everything you need - the engine management. Put down good numbers and is a pretty straight forward bolt on kit from what ive read. The drag is a good kit as well, just be sure to upgrade a few things in the kit when purchasing it new or used.
I'm by no means an expert, just giving ya some info that'll hopefully help ya out
