What map unplugged?
No you cannot increase boost beyond the point it was tuned to unless you like rebuilding engines.

from my understanding, you can only decrease psi from what you were tuned at and itll be fine. you just cant UP the boost. Gotta get a retune for higher psi.

If the car was tuned for 8psi what makes you think it can do 11-12psi?

you are referencing the fact that the stock map sensor can only read up to 11 psi, which is true. But if you were only tuned to 8 psi, when you turn it up to 11 psi, the map is going to use the same values from 8 to 11 psi, therefor you will be un-tuned beyond 8 psi risking damage, you need more fuel and less timing from 8 to 11 psi, your ecu wont know this because it hasn't been tuned for more than 8 psi... will it run, yes, will it blow up if you dont re tune it, probably....

Not saying a retune for more boost isn't nessacary, but this is false. Just because the car was tuned to 8 psi doesn't mean the fuel/timing values at 10psi are set the same as 8 psi that would be not very smart on the tuners part.

my mistake "REASON FOR NO MAP BEING PLUGGED IN" car has a 3bar i spoke to the tuner he said 10-12psi just watch the A/F they need to be low12 high 11's

some tuners will have the timing values relate to boost pressure...fuel too possbily. I ran about 10-11psi when i had to get it done lol it held up ok
