Is the TurboXS Boost Controller.....
Hello quick question that I could not find I a search. Is the standard turboXS boost controller a Ball and spring design or is it something different. Also if you have any experience with it... How did it work for ya.

The standard is a bleeder valve and the high performance is a combination ball and spring and bleeder valve.

Most likely the high performance one. The ball and spring hold it closed until a certain pressure is reached and then the bleeder valve vents off excess pressure in the line so higher boost is reached before the wastegate opens up.
I had a standard bleeder valve turboxs MBC and I couldn't get it to work correctly. Even when it was all the way closed it would boost up to like 14psi or more before I let off the gas. I had a 7psi spring and was trying to get 10psi. I ended up selling it because it wouldn't work for me.
If I were you, I would at least go with the high performance MBC. But you never know, I could have had a defect because I know lots of other people who haven't had any problems with their standard MBC.
Good luck.

not to sound like an *** or anything but did you have the vacuum lines hooked up correctly?

Yup.
I tried different diameters of lines, different lenghts, different configurations (off the compressor housing, then off the intake mani)...
I tried everything. LoL. I had it hooked up correctly. The source hooked to the side port and the bottom running to the wastgate side port. (I also tried using both the side and top ports with a T)
I was so frustrated after trying to many different configurations I just gave up

Re: Is the TurboXS Boost Controller..... (EJ1 wilcox)
I've only used the High Performance one, but had good luck adjusting the it without to much trouble.
The High Performance is a combination ball and spring /bleeder system. The Standard one is just a bleeder style system.
