Turbos with internal wastegates
Is there any reason why everyone goes with an external wastegate. Are internal ones bad, do they not work as well. I am not looking to go crazy with boost or power, i am looking to get about 230 whp or so...

Re: Turbos with internal wastegates (grngsr01)
u will be more than happy w/ an internal gate if 230 hp is what u want...However the internal gates tend to spike and seem a little more un-controlable at higher boost levels...

it's fine for low boost\power aps. but they tend to be harder to control precisly. but consider this, can u think of one real race car with and internal gate?
