Turbo XS BOV..
Just thought I'd relay a little message... I just put my friends BOV on his 2002 WRX... Nice simple design, went in really easily. The quality of the BOV seems to be excellent.
My only question was about tuning it. It's adjustable from 10 - 25 psi. You unscrew the top, and add washers in the middle to compress the spring and make it stiffer. We played around with adding washers. Is there a proper way to tune the BOV? The instructions weren't super specific on this matter. It does stay closed at idle, but when it opens, it goes 'wooooooosh' followed by like a couple 'phew, phew' noises... It seems to flutter right before it closes. Is this bad, and would making the spring stiffer help this? The turbo is putting out about 13.5 psi stock, so I shouldn't have to add a lot of washers to work properly. Conceptually, if it's adjustable from 10-25, and he's at 13.5, I shouldn't have to add but more than 1 or 2 washers... Hmmmm...
