turbo wont clock/ block shaving
so im putting my stuff on and i need to clock the turbo. the compressor side clocked fine, but this exhuat side is a real bitch. how shoudl i do it without causing damage??? and i started shaving my block today, but the turbo still wont fit. how much am i suposed to take off? BY THE WAY, PICTURES SAY A THOUSAND WORDS FELLAS!!LOL
Someone will post a pic, but most of the block webbing that it contacts needs to be cut out. It makes at that 90 degree shape, I hope you understand what I'm talking about.
i probably do lol, buut pictes are still nie. right now the oil drain flanfs is hitting one of the ac lines . thats hwy it needs to be clocked
loosen the exhuast hosuing bolts
then flip it around
and take a hammer at the compressor side housings
a few good wacks the center should be loose to clock
the webbing is easy just cut using drmele
then a angle grinder and grind it smooth
ill get pictures if i can later

Yeah just get a torch and heat up the exhaust housing after the bolts are all loosened....let it get pretty damn hot....then either use gloves and turn it yourself or you might need to tap it with a soft blow hammer but it should move.
Ive done this a few times. Non-SSAuto turbos use very strong chromium steel for the turbine housing, you cant do much to harm it. Just loosen the bolts (1/16" between bolt/housing), the gently tap the turbing housing with a 4lbs sledge, slowly working around it's circumference. Just do that harder until it breaks loose.
