HELP turbo fitment issues
I have a gsr motor using a Garrett T3 60-1 turbo with Boostflow ramhorn mani. The turbo is super huge I can't bolt it to the mani without it touching the block. Anyone ever run into this did i buy a wrong turbo. I did my research and never found any info on this turbo not being good on a gsr motor. Please help me. Thanks

Pictures would be greatly helpful. If you cannot get clearance by rotating, or "clocking" your turbo then you will need to think about grinding on the block. Depending on what part of the block it is hitting, it probably can be ground down with a wheel or dye grinder. And to answer your initial question - you didn't buy the wrong turbo, you bought the wrong manifold lol =P.
BTW, that is a great turbo, but there is more to selecting a turbo than just picking one. Have you studied the compressor map for this particular turbo? Asking if its good for a GSR motor is a pretty broad question, with no definitive answer unless were talking in relation to your particular setup, goals, uses, etc.

Most companies mock their manifolds with an E cover turbo whereas you have an S cover on your 60-1. The difference isn't that great, but if the original manifold placed the turbo close to the block, it may not allow for the larger S cover. The company that sold it should know whether or not it will fit...give them a call and see what they say.
For a visual explanation...here you go
Left: T3/T04E 57 trim Right: 60-1 S

I agree, if you told the exactly your setup, they should have known you would have problems and advised you as such. And me personally, I would never recommend a ram manifold - they are just outdated in terms of design and efficiency to what is available on the market now.
