Default turbo and vtec??????

Sorry for the stupid question, but i never really thought about this until now....

If your motor redline is 8,200 and vtec kicks in at 4,900......
When I run the car with a small turbo(greddy), should i shift at my redline or not?
when vtec comes on will the vtec pull harder or not?
when your just boosting 6psi is this hurting the motor at higher RPM?

you would be hurting the motor if you didn't have the proper fuel setup. if your asking if you can bounce off teh rev limiter like it's your job...well that would be a no because the stock computer hs a fuel cut so youwould run lean. boost+rpm+lean = BOOM!

ok... i ment to say........running greddy kit less then 7psi, considering that you have proper timing,fuel-air/ignition,ect my question is:
1)can you drive(@the track) your turbo cars like NA car, shifting at redline?
2)does it matter if your turbo motor redline is only 6,500?
3)whould you reather have a b16a1 or b18b1 with the greddy kit running at 7psi? which one will last longer(if same setup, driven, cared for all the same way)?

wont hurt it to shift at redline....

will hurt setup if u shift after that point.....

b18+boost= nice midrange torque, less top end compared to b16a, but 6800rpm redline

vtec+turbo= high revs shorter gears....redline higher

all opinion
