Turbo Timer Install on a LS
I did a quick search but found nothing:
I have an auto LS turbo 1998, I have a HKS type 1 Turbo Timer and I need detailed instructions on how to install it. Can anybody help me???? i am getting tired of leaving my car running for a few minutes only to forget it is running out side and it stays running sometimes for 45 minutes to an hour since I forget!
HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Re: Turbo Timer Install on a LS (TURBOED-TEG)
its real easy...haha i just posted the same topic, cept for a 95 civic. I have a type 0 timer, I think the type 1 has the same wires. Red, green, and blue. There is also a ground wire (black) and a wire which they intended for you to tap into thhe parking brake wire.
red goes to constant power (+ on the battery, always has power)
green goes to the wire that has current when the key is all the way turned without the car starting (on my car its the blk/yel coming off the ignition)
Blue goes to the wire that has current when the key is set to accessory (on my car its the wht/blk coming from ignition)
black goes to a good UNPAINTED ground spot
and then finally, the gray wire i believe it is MUST be grounded for the timer to count down.
if you have any questions please email me, i can provide pics if they will be any help...

Re: Turbo Timer Install on a LS (B18EG6)
does the hks have a 3 pin safety harness? my greddy one does, and i was curious if i install the timer, do i have to use the 3 pin harness to make it work...or just the normal 4 wires...
wow, that sounds confusing even to me...basically the timer has the 3 pin harness coming out of it, and 4 wires red (hot) blue (ignition) green (acc) and black (ground)
but anyway do you need to use the safety harness, or is it just there for precaution??

Re: Turbo Timer Install on a LS (NoPowerAllRice)
naw u dont neeeed to use it, its just there for ease of installation and if u ever want to sell a timer without a pre-cut harness.
i believe you have the blue and green wire mixed up

Re: Turbo Timer Install on a LS (BoOsTeD_eK)
does anyone know what color the ignition and accessory wires on a 94 ls?? i assume power is red and then ground to metal...but before i got cutting wires, it'd be nice to know which ones to splice

they should be the same colors. The constant 12v lead is not red at the ignition harness, i believe it is white.Test using a digital multimeter to be 100% sure for all wires.HTH

Re: Turbo Timer Install on a LS (94cxhybrid-T)
my apex'i tt has 5 wires.
red
blue
green
white w/ brown
black w/ brown
i'm assuming the black, red, green, and blue are the same as the hks
what about the white?
Can anyone give the exact color to color wiring to an LS?
thanks

Re: Turbo Timer Install on a LS (NoPowerAllRice)
yeah actually green is ignition and blue is acc i mixed it up
green goes to ign1 and blue can go to either acc or ign2. i would wire blue to ign2 so yor fans will still turn on during countdown.
