Turbo Start ?'s
Hey I just started my car after installing my turbo and have a few questions:
How do you know if there is a vacuum leak?
What should your boost reading be at idle?
At Idle my wastegate vacuum lines get pinched shut by vacuum: is this normmal?
How much do I need to adjust my HKS BOV?
Thanks in advance

your idle will be higher than normal, if you try to drive it under low load it will act up...you'll know trust me
What should your boost reading be at idle?
At idle you should read a vacuum instead of a positive boost psi

where are your lines hooked to for the vacuum signal? what kind of tubing?
How much do I need to adjust my HKS BOV?
Donno, is it not functioning?

Re: Turbo Start ?'s (BROOD)
I have this 6mm tubing going to a vacuum manifold to the wastegate then from the wastegate to my boost controll valve then back to the vacum manifold.
My BOV screw is very loose and still flutters.

you need a better vacuum signal for your BOV, try the brake booster. Vacuum pressure at idle should be between 19-22 inHG And use stronger tubing for your wastegate line, I run my wastegate directly off the turbo compressor housing, try that.

Re: Turbo Start ?'s (toolowsol)
yea I got this red Pep Boys hose. where can I get the right hose?
Now what if I only run 8-9 lbs of vacuum at idle what does that mean?
