Turbo smoke, please help d16y8
Did a search, found alot. but i wanted to hear everyones oppinion on my specific situation.
Setup
Bought the turbo as a rebuild t3/to4b 54 trim, im running a 2.5" down pipe without a cat to a 2.5" exhaust, custom piping i made. I do not a have a tune. Oil drain is going straight downward
When i was installing the oil feed, i broke the knock sensor, so i unplugged that until mine comes in this week.
When i accelerate, it smokes alot (white smoke). when i idle it has a little white smoke to it. It was happening when i first started the car. and it happened on my way home for about 45 minutes. I thought it was just the oil used to mandrel bend the pipes but when i got home i relised it was still smoking. If anyone has any ideas or maybe the knock sensor is causing it to smoke? let me know please!
Thanks alot
Chuck

It would make alot more sense if it was blue, because it started smoking when i first started the car. I haven't hit boost yet, so i dont think its a head gasket. Car is untuned but i dont think it would be smoking this much because of that. The wastegate spring it out, i dont think that would cause it to smoke but im going to put it back in before I drive the car again. Anyone have any ideas?
If you guyz have any trouble shooting questions just ask.
Thanks alot

heres the update, just went to the car to check it out, looks like the fead line is leaking where it goes into the turbo. took it for a spin, at first it doesnt smoke bad but after a few minutes it smokes like crazy. smoke has a faint blueish tint which means oil. I checked my oil and the dip stick showed a very small amount, just alittle on the tip. I'm going to buy some oil today when i can get a ride to the store. I'll tighen up that fitting and reinspect the drain. im going to take that all apart and check it out. If anyone has any ideas let me know.
thanks
