Default Excessive Smoke...

Ok, I am confused. I just got a 2.5" exhuast, straight through for now. Waiting on a muffler, resonator and cat. I am boosted maybe a month or so with a custom setup using a mitsubishi 14b. Intercoolered on the hack (untuned) for now. 5-7 psi. I just noticed the white smoke escaping from my tailpipe. When it idles it streams out pretty even, when I am WOT, it barely smokes, then when I let off the gas or shift it billows out...Is this a side affect of no cat? Or is there a more serious problem. Cracked block/headgasket. The car runs great all the way to redline. I am going to change my oil this weekend to see if there is any antifreeze in my oil. Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

Thanks all....

could be turbo going bad but mainly it would be the headgasket.

Well the turbo isn't watercooled. If the seals in the turbo are bad, would it be light smoke? I am changing my oil today, to see if there is any antifreeze in it....

I'm also going to go ahead and say it's the seals in the turbo.

You can pick those turbos up for cheap & low miles at dsmtrader.com

I'd go ahead and just buy a new one

My friends smoked bad at idle too. The turbo seal was bad, and caused it to smoke when sitting only, but it was blue, not white.
