Default Turbo seals

I have a turbo and it leaks oil throw the turbine comes out down the down pipe, After the engine rebuild i didnt want to run boost and had the turbo bolted to the manifold the charge pipes were disconnected.. I had people tell me this is from not having back pressure on the turbo and now it leaks oil.. If i hooked the charge pipes up would it stop leaking or is this for good.... How much oil psi is a turbo supposed to have at idle.

your friend is right.

your turbo is over spinning due to no back preassure.

unless your charge pipes is completely hooked up to tyour turbo to tyour throttle body it wouldnt matter.

and yes your turbo is done for itll need a rebuild.
